Personally I like William Davidson, the Cato Street Conspirator. Along with a few others they were trying to get rid of a hated government in 1820. Sticking the Prime Minister’s head on a pole always sounds good to me, but especially when the government was so vicious. William also had a gruesome ending – the executioner wasn’t very good with his knife (a head of another conspirator had already rolled into the crowd!) and it took a few new blades to hack his head off.
